So, I have read conflicting facts from different people on what's needed to make an extension of a ME Non Imm O visa based on marriage.

Some have said I need proof of funds of 40.000 monthly or 400k in the bank, while others have said that's not necessary
Note that I'm not talking about a one year extension of the Visa but a 60 days extension of my final entry.
I will either have to leave the country by the 1st of June or get a 60 day extension at Chaeng Wattana, so now I want to make sure if I need to show proof of funds or not?
I have done a similar 60 days extension about 2 years ago on a Non Imm O visa before getting a new one, and at that time no funds were needed, however since some people insist I need it I thought I should ask here first to clear out any confusion.
Thanks in advance!

I hope you do better than I did at day 88 on my Non Imm O visa.  The front desk & then the IO at Jomtien told me I couldn't extend, put a refusal stamp in the passport saying "Application for extension of stay is not approved", took my ฿1,900 and only gave me only another seven days.  I had to do a straightforward border run to get another 30 days.  Apparently, if I'd either simply turned up at the airport or got a Tourist visa instead it would have gone through, but because I tried to do it properly I was refused.

I still say that the good thing about Thailand is that there are so many rules to choose from, but you never know which ones apply today.

You can only extend a 90 day non ‘O’ entry by 60 days if you have a Thai spouse or child.

as I will do this extension soon, can someone tell me what papers are required?

A completed TM7 application form with a 4 X 6 cm photo attached.

Your wife or child needs to be with you.

Marriage or birth certificate plus a copy. Copy of their house book registry and ID card (if married)
