Tried to get a 3 months tourist visa for a friend to Australia, we filled out all the forms and put them in, she wanted 3 months holiday from work and they said no, she must leave and re-apply when get back, she had been their for 3 years

well we paid all the fees gave her all the what we thought was the required paper work from Australia and though that was that

Well is wasn't

How do we know she will return, was the Australia embassies reply, has no house has no children now has no job

after a month of hitting our heads against the wall we have written off this money

we now must go through the complete process again and give more information

So we feel maybe doing it though an agency is a better risk

Now asking her to find out costs and she comes back with figures from 5000 -30000 baht to put in the application for her

now at 2200 for the visa and 428 for service fee + 30 000 + air fare my god that's a fair hit in the back pocket

Can any one please reccommend a good visa agent in BKK

in Pattaya they gaurantee money back if they do not get the visa

Is this truthfull or just a ploy

an email so I can contact them would be great

Is this the 26 yo girl that your friends were going to sponsor ??

To be truthful....we need to know the exact situation...were the friends sponsoring on your behalf...for example...she would be staying with you but your friends were supplying support...???

You see, I have re read some of your posts regards this and I dont have a clear view as to what you are trying to do. Could be I am just dumb though... :o

My view is that if she is being sponsored by someone then it should be the person that she will be primarily staying with. In other words the sponsors address and her place of residence in Oz needs to be the same.

Usually if she is unemployed and proof of the friendship is given along with good sponsorship by the person with whom she will be staying is given, then there isnt a problem...A Statutory Declaration stating that she will be supported in all ways during her stay, how long she will stay for and an assurance that she will abide by the visa conditions by the sponsor is a great help.

Ok you have been declined and will need to supply a top notch application for the next time...so please let us know the exact situation and maybe we can assist...

Regards

just sent you some personal details to your email

The answer was given after putting some pressure onto the embassy

that our side of the application, that is the person she would be staying with was above board

If this was the official reason for the visa rejection, then this is what needs to be addressed.

All applicants need a valid and compelling reason to return to Thailand at the completion of their visa.

If her previous employer was not prepared to keep her job open, the employer might be willing to supply a letter to the Embassy stating that the person was a reliable and trusted employee and that the person would more than likely be re-employed should they re-apply for their former position.

If such a letter cannot be obtained from her employer then you need to identify another compelling reason to return to Thailand.
