More than likely because there will also be a problem with the cameras too...

    I scratch away the CVV. So no one can see it. And keep it at the same secure place as the pin code.

I was thinking insider in the context of wife/girlfriend/lover/partner etc. They are probably more likely to have access to the card and cvv physically than the various scenarios mentioned in this thread - undercard atm secret cameras etc.

 

I think a lot of this may be closer to home than any of us want to admit.
