taktsai Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I have a friend coming here to work for 6 months. But the organization that hire her is a small organization and not willing to go into the painstaking process just for a short-term hire. Is there anyway to get around this? I was thinking --- if she got a non-immigrant visa from her country, but doesn't proceed to the application of working visa here. Will she be able to get another tourist visa here in Bangkok that let her stay another 90 days. Or does she need to do a visa run? Where can she go? Looking forward for your information and suggestion.
lopburi3 Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 She can not work without a work permit. She can go to jail if caught working. She can not obtain a tourist visa in Bangkok. She should not even consider working here without the company obtaining a work permit for her.
Casanundra Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Or she could get a one year non-imm O visa for one year and do a visa run at each 90 day point. She shouldn't be working here without a valid WP and visa though an if she get's caught well...
