Good morning,

I will receive my new UK passport back this week but looks like I will have 2-4 days overstay on my 60 day tourist visa due to renewing process.

Does anyone know if the overstay will go in my old passport with current visa or my brand-new one. I plan to fly to Vientiane for 5 days and return with another 60 days visa.

Thanks for any advice.

You could apply for a 30 day extension of your 60 day extension using your current passport to avoid the overstay stamp in your new passport.

I guess if you just show them your old passport, that it will go in there !!

How could he do that?

His old passport will be canceled which means he could not leave the country using it alone. He will have to show both passports on departure from the country.

Ignore the previous post from me : I just looked in my PP and they didnt stamp an overstay stamp in my PP when Overstayed and left on a new PP .

The big stamp that I thought was an overstay stamp seems to be a transfer of PP details stamp .

Thanks for the advice so I guess it will go in the new passport, I already have  30 days extension unfortunately.

You could apply for an extension, pay 1900 baht and be granted 7 days to leave the country after the application is denied.
