PoorSucker
You can't get a visa on Samui, you need to travel to a consulate outside Thailand or do a conversion in Bangkok. After that you can apply for one year extension of stay based on retirement (it's not a visa) at immigration in Maenam provided that you have 800.000 in a Thai bank for two months and you are over 50 years old. Money needs to be in the account for 3 months.
