A senior policeman at Suthisan police station in Bangkok has been arrested on suspicion of selling Ya Ba through the post.

Pol Captain Samphan Kanthason was presented with a warrant by drug enforcement cops while he was on duty at the station in downtown Bangkok yesterday evening.

He denies it. He is the head of a rapid task force at the station.

Deputy chief of Region 2 Pol Maj Gen Richakorn Jornjewut has ordered his immediate removal from the force.

The warrant came after a Thai man and a Burmese woman were caught delivering drugs in April.

They named Captain Samphan as the supplier of the drugs.

He has admitted knowing the pair in connection with another matter but has denied involvement in drugs.

Well why am i not surprised by this?

Because the biggest drug pushers here are the police, confiscate a pile of drugs, show half the haul on camera.

Ohh what good boys we are the other half is back on the streets within hours.

Half?

Why not all?

After the photo shoot or the suspect pleads guilty it goes to be "destroyed"

I guess the guys who destroy it have nice cars..... ?

"He denies it because he is the head of a rapid task force at the station."

That's it then!  Carry-on as normal!

Good to see that Thai police arrested drug pushing police!

Regardless of the other issues, this is remarkable.

The two dobbers may need to be extremely careful now.

While I wouldn't be surprised if you are right I think it is not a good idea posting this  " ... half is back on the streets within hours." without being able to show proof

You're right, it's more like 90% back on the streets.
