libya 115 Posted February 1, 2007 Share Posted February 1, 2007 SOURCE: Pattaya People: February 1st 2007 Another bag snatched by motorbike thief A police volunteer informed the Pattaya Police that a man on a Honda Wave motorbike, license unknown, snatched a lady’s handbag in Jomtien Soi 9, a well known shortcut to Jomtien beach and the victims were injured from the crash. The volunteers followed the culprit until Rom Pho Market and then lost him there. This incident occurred at 7 pm on 31st January. Miss Sasiporn, aged 38, the lady passenger gave a statement to the police at the scene while her German husband, Mr. Peter, aged 67, was still in shock. She stated that they decided to take the shortcut back to Rin Had Condo that evening since there was traffic on Jomtien Beach Road. When they slowed down at the curve in the Soi, a Thai man on a bike approached them from the side, kicked their bike, quickly got off to take her handbag and then fled the scene. The police requested the couple to make a report at the station and also give more information about the image of the thief for a possible arrest.
