FRANCE, 25th June 2018, (NNT) - The Thai Prime Minister has reiterated that his ongoing EU trip benefits Thailand. He points out that several European nations are looking into the investment potential of the Kingdom.

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha made the comment during a briefing session on relations between Thailand and France with ‘Team Thailand’. The Thai Premier also delivered policies to the team.

‘Team Thailand’ consists of officials from various ministries working at the Thai embassy in a particular nation. The head of the team is usually the Thai Ambassador.

He told those in attendance that his visit has sparked interest in economic, trade and investment cooperation by Thailand, the United Kingdom and France. General Prayut stated that his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron later today will also center on future collaboration in numerous economic initiatives. He said emphasis will be placed on bilateral partnerships in trade and investments, highlighting potential regional participation between ASEAN and the EU, as Thailand will take on the ASEAN chairmanship next year.

General Prayut said both Thailand and France are exploring cooperation in matters concerning the environment, public health, education and innovation, which are all listed among the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

During the briefing, the Thai Ambassador to Paris said that the two nations are looking at forming a Strategic Partnership at all levels, especially in the implementation of the Thailand 4.0 agenda. The Ambassador highlighted the cooperation between Airbus and Thai Airways international as the prime example of such cooperation.

The Prime Minister also vowed to perform his duty to the best of his ability for the benefit of the Kingdom, cementing bonds between Thailand, the United Kingdom and France.

Well it certainly 'sparked' interest in Louis Vuitton but that's about it.

You think May and Macron have got nothing better to do than look at designer scarfs?

The reality is clever timing by the Thai PM. He picked a time when he knows both UK and France are looking to develop trade and relations as both seek to increase their presence on the world stage. Britain thinking post Brexit, France keen to take the eyes off internal issues. He knew they'd bring up the subject of elections and democracy, and he knew they'd be happy to gloss over them. Kerchink!

The poor man, the PM thinks he went on a trip to the EU. I am sure he must think the EU is a country just like the UK is country.

Anyway he only went to the UK and France. No one seems to have told him the UK was no longer part of the EU. Really, sometimes one has to feel sorry for him. How sad!

C'mon dude. Don't give him that much credit. He ain't that clever...

He's bringing back 69 million Louis Vuitton scarves?

I wonder if any these leaders asked him about his blanket amnesty past present and future,  and his article 44 he can use anytime on any whim, i would think  that would have baffled a few western leaders to say the least!

It is just a big expensive junket.

As in "I am Thailand and it benefits me"?

And yet he is running the political machinery of Thailand....poor Thailand!

Another self-publicizing occasion. Like all the others.

This guy is tireless in the pursuit of his own benefit.

The stodgy bore has done almost nothing to help Thailand.  To this day, they call peace at gun point the junta's crown achievement.  The only thing interesting about him are his delusions.
