Nong Plalai sweeps trash off roads

PATTAYA:--Nong Plalai public health workers cleaned up roadsides littered with trash following heavy rain.

Mayor Phinyo Homklan said crews cleaned sub-district streets around Nong Ket Noi Road June 21 after floodwaters deposited garbage across the area.

He urged residents not to dispose of construction debris, broken glass, tree branches and old furniture at public trash bins as the sub-district’s contractor does not pick up those items, only household garbage and compost.

He said if people had other junk to dispose of they should be hauled to a proper dump.

Anyone found depositing rubbish on public roads would find fined.
