SAMUT SAKHON, 2nd July 2018 (NNT) - A fire broke out at Thai Royal Frozen Food Co Ltd in Samut Sakhon province early on Monday. No deaths or injuries have so far been reported.

According to the report, the company is said to be one of the major seafood exporters in Thailand. One of the company’s executives is the chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce of Samut Sakhon and the Secretary-General of the Thai Frozen Foods Association, Amphai Hankraiwilai.

The fire started at a building where a seafood-frying station is located. Samut Sakhon Governor Prapas Malakarn was at the scene to oversee the firefighting operation himself. Despite 20 fire trucks and a continuous effort to douse the inferno, the flames were difficult to control because of cooking oil and foam containers that were kept inside the building.

The damage has been estimated at more than 200 million baht.

Fire hits frozen seafood factory in Samut Sakhon

By The Nation

A fire broke out at the Thai Royal Frozen Food factory in Samut Sakhon province on Monday morning.

Police in Muang district were alerted to the fire at 7.30am and coordinated with the district municipality and nearby municipalities to dispatch 20 fire engines to fight the blaze.

The fire started in a large electric prawn-frying pan, said police. Workers said a short circuit caused sparks that set fire to oil in the pan and the blaze spread quickly.

No one was injured as workers quickly fled the building. Firefighters took three hours to control the blaze. The cost of the damage has yet to be estimated.

...wonder why they are allowed that designation in their company name....isn't it restricted...???

Similar to the UK where shops have the  'By Appointment' crest on the wall maybe?

I don't really know.
