He will be a rule 45 prisoner (vulnerable prisoner) for the duration of his stay. Complete segregation from the general prison population. Unlikely to be attacked as he would be surrounded by his fellow nonces. Also, he wouldn't be a priority as, believe it or not, there are people in most prisons in the UK that have committed even more vile crimes than he did.

 

Also, he will be eligible for parole in 6 years and is highly unlikely to serve more than 8.
