webfact
NLA to mull pay rises for officials of independent bodies By Thai PBS The National Legislative Assembly is set to debate next week five bills proposed by the government to raise the salaries of officials of the court and other independent organizations. NLA whip Yutthana Tapcharoen said the pay adjustments are intended to make the salary scales of the judges, public prosecutors and officials of independent organizations such as the National Human Rights Commission, the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the Election Commission and the State Audit Office, in line with the changing economic situation. He said the pay rise will be retroactive to 2014 for all the officials except for the officials of the National Human Rights Commission whose salaries will be adjusted retroactively to 2005 with the government having set aside a 450-million baht fund for the adjustments. Popular Post Lungstib
Independent organizations? They must be joking. Nothing more than docile pets working on behalf of the present govt who are offering a reward for their compliance. Isn't it strange that the 'changing economic situation' still only allows many workers 320b a day for their sweat and toil? No retroactive to 2005 for them. Australian elected backbench MPs will be paid more than $200,000 for the first time because an independent tribunal decided to give them a 2 per cent pay rise worth almost $4000 from July 1. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/federal-politicians-handed-pay-rise-and-tax-cut/news-story/9fb355f926d596aa1ae30b7850c7ee21
