Often wonder about this in relation to Thai people who have died.

Where does the soul go when leaving the body?

Don't all Buddhists here believe that we come back again?

Is there a period where we rest before coming back?

'better luck next time' might be more appropriate,

but 'heaven' for a buddhist is silence,

the circle is broken for buddha, myself, and a few other exceptional beings.

tho the odds of that is supposedly much smaller than a rebirth
