Are they grown in Thailand at all?

I would say no,  but maybe down south a few are grown,  not part of the Thai diet, you can buy them, chickpeas are a staple of the Indian diet, Thailand and India are on a similar latitude, so they should grow here.

But you could grow them but  finding a market for selling them could be a  problem.
