Thai media has reported that a different phenomenon is being washed up on the beach at Pattaya.

Now muscling in with the usual flotsam and jetsam washed ashore are thousands of jellyfish.

Pattaya Update News had a short jaunty video showing the state of the beach at Bali Hai cape.

While Manager actually went to investigate and found a fisherman who said it was not a crisis.

Jellyfish are normal at this time of the year and this was nothing out of the ordinary, he told reporters.

At 8 seconds the video ( and accompanying capt pugwash soundtrack ) won't be winning any awards .. Though it must be a first for a squid to have the Pattaya finger accusingly pointed at it ..

Thai local expert opined that Jelly fish are "No problem", that is, provided they don't give you a smart sting. Could be worse, a Portuguese-man-o-war's sting can kill you.

No they won't.  Google chironrex fleckeri.  Then you will see a serious stinger.

Jellyfish on the beach? Who would of thunk it.

The jellyfish are looking for Chinese tourists to add to the recent toll.

Notice only jellyfish washed up and no octopus very smart your average octopus maybe they could be trained to clean up the water of trash very fast.
