BANGKOK, 20th July 2018 (NNT) – The Election Commission of Thailand has warned political groups not to violate election laws.

President of the EC Supachai Somcharoen said on Thursday that the commission has been monitoring movements of the Sam Mitr political group after former members of the Pheu Thai Party have filed a complaint about the group’s dubious activities.

Mr. Supachai said that the EC is now determining whether what the Sam Mitr Group has been doing could violate the Political Party Act, which forbids any political parties or individuals from promising anything in exchange for other people’s signing up for membership with them.

Meanwhile he added that the EC has been investigating a case, in which former PM, Thaksin Shinawatra claimed that the Pheu Thai Party will win the next election, as such a statement could be in violation of election laws as well.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said that next week’s mobile Cabinet meetings in Ubon Ratchathani and Amnat Charoen are intended to enable the government to hear first-hand information about problems faced by residents and not to pursue any political agenda.

At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister Gen. Prawit Wongsuwon said that the recent call by a group of teachers for the government’s help in solving their loans-debt problems, can't be ruled a political movement while noting that the National Council for Peace and Order has not yet identified any activities posing a national security threat.

Just beyond the pale of any semblance of having a democratic election.

How could someone claiming to know who will win the next election possibly be against election laws ? What complete morons thought that such an act should be a violation ?

No problem, just for the EC: I hereby claim PTP will win the next elections.

Oh my god, what utter nonsense.
