Fatal shooting in Ranong nothing to do with us, says Pattaya boxing camp

A Pattaya boxing camp has denied that a murder in Thailand's southern province of Ranong has anything to do with them.

On Sunday night Theppharit Sae-Ong, 35, was gunned down in front of a pub in an apparent disagreement over loud noise.

Police issued a warrant for two men who have fled. They are Kriangsak Thirachai, 35, and Phoomphan Chartpranorpchai, 48, who did the shooting.

Phoomphan is better known as Pae Thappraya a former trainer at the Thappraya Yim boxing camp in Pattaya.

Daily News reporters went to the campo where they found a disconsolate Natthaphon Yokcharoen who is the son of the owner.

He said the camp had only been open three months and now people are saying that it is mixed up in the murder.

One of the reasons for the association with the Pattaya camp is that the shooter borrowed Natthaphon's Isuzu pick-up over a month ago and used it during the shooting.

Clothing also worn in the shooting identified a connection with the camp but that can be bought anywhere, he said.

Natthapon said that a boxing meeting is coming up and his boys are not training amid the false accusations causing trouble for the camp.

He called for the shooter to give himself up - and return his truck.

The actual shooter didn't show much remorse to cold-hearted shoot the guy in the head; whereas the other thug was just bluffing with a gun.
Not a good poker player.

Well, it seems like the shooter and his thugs are all wearing the same shirt, which is safe to assume they either work there or are related to the boxing camp. Why else would a group of friends wear the same shirt? Unless its to promote the camp and upcoming fights. But true, the owner and camp has nothing to do with the murder, but too bad their image is tainted.
