This problem of a lost generation isn't unique to Britain. The same thing is happening in the USA for many of the same reasons. Educational paths that now lead to nowhere, a massive influx of aliens, rising inflation, etc. Kids that can work often don't simply because they see the rat race for what it is. So they drop out. Did you not read my post about that? Thee is an existing housing stock, plus whatever they're building. And within that pool of housing, people live. Everyone, except maybe people living under bridges. Ands so, wherever they live, they use up housing units. That eats into the supply side of the equation. And if you know about supply and demand, you can figure out the rest. .
