6 digit Thai PIN in UK ATMs?

Featured Replies

Hi

just realized my Thai ATM card now has 6 digits, it works fine online in Scotland but will it work in an ATM, if so is any special bank best?

I have had a ATM card with 6 digits for 15 years. I have never had any problems withdrawing money from Thai ATM's.

Currently my Thai bank's ATM card has 6 digit PIN code.

The OP is asking if his card would work in an ATM in the UK, not Thailand

It works fine i used my one many times in scotland.i work offshore so i use it all time on way home.

I believe the PIN is stored in the microchip embedded in the card. Any chip reading ATM will read it and look for your PIN input from the keyboard. If the two are the same then you will have access. Whether the bank will give you money or not is another matter............

Not sure. I use UK cards in UK and LOS. They are all 4-digit.

6 fidget pin cards work in our pdq,s in the UK so as long as your issuing bank allows you to use it international you shouldn't have a problem would suggest you check with issuing bank first and inform them you will be using it abroad
