jimflan Posted August 2, 2018 Share Posted August 2, 2018 I have just been through divorce court and received the decision; now we need to move the sale/settlement of the assets in particular the marital home which is being split 50:50. My lawyers engagement (and payment) only covered up to the court decision and papers, so now he's looking for additional engagement/money for the sale/settlement, which I understand, but he's looking for a lot of money for it so just wanted to check if I actually need him. As I understand it, my wife (sorry, ex-wife !) need to go to the Amphur and sign papers confimring divorce and distribution of assets pending their sale. Is a lawyer required for this ?
