Cat owner faces cruelty charge

The animal rights group Watchdog Thailand on Friday filed a complaint with the police against a cat adopter for allegedly repeatedly abusing his pet by hanging it and beating it until it became "depressed".

 

Watchdog Thailand posted on Facebook that it has filed a complaint with Bueng Koom police, who had allowed the previous owner to rescue the cat.

 

Watchdog Thailand said the unnamed owner admitted on Facebook that he repeatedly tortured the cat to teach it how to “behave".

 

Among other things, he strangled the cat until its tongue slipped out and left it hanging. Sometimes, he said he hanged it upside down and beat it with clothes hangers.

 

The man admitted that he almost killed the cat several times out of anger when it did not learn to urinate in the sandbox and beat it over 100 times.

 

He said he made the cat cry and refused to feed it to teach it a lesson. The cat had to hide in fear, he added.

 

The details were passed to the previous owner who contacted Watchdog Thailand.

 

Pol Col Thirayuth Maiplaeng of Buengkoom police said the cat appeared very sad with signs of injury.

 

Thirayuth said the owner has been summoned to face animal cruelty charges and would face court action.

 

Watchdog Thailand thanked the original owner for saving the pet.

Seems to be a very sick individual...who shouldn't be allowed to "care for" any living thing ever again. ☹️

What a sad, sad excuse for a human being. I wonder if he subjects his family members to the same physical abuse as his helpless cat or perhaps even kicks homeless people in the street. 

 

Some psychologists argue that the way some persons treat animals may be in direct correlation to their treatment of humans, especially those whose physical strength is inferior to them. It has reportedly been shown in some studies that frequent animal abusers also tend to mistreat children or women, because their moral compasses are highly defect and they are extremely egocentric sociopaths.

 

I have no way of knowing if that might be true or not. All I could do is visit that a**h**e's home, urinate all over the place and see how he's going to react. He'd be up for a rude awakening when I beat him to a pulp at his first attempt of attacking me. Might be a good lesson for him, too. Afterwards, I am of course going to hang him upside down for a while and strangle him a little just for good measure.   

Just one more pathetic example of a infant's mind in an adult's body.

 

These people simply have no brains and no morals.

I suppose this A/h will be moving  on to women and little kids,

next,I hope it's not a 500 THB fine and a wai,he needs to be taught

a lesson.the cat looks just like mine,making me angry.

run someone over  in a  car and get nothing like that!!

He showed that to the previous owner, she told him I will go to the police, his answer was if you do that I will kill "your" cat.

Allow me to say it could be wrong sometimes, decades ago I even taught a cat to protect a cherry tree from the birds, I had put a large ladder leaning 45 degrees on the top of the cherry tree and when this cat saw birds in the tree he ran on the ladder and the birds flew, I congratulated him every time and he took it as a game... incredible but true. 

Today we have 5 cats and they know everything that is forbidden. I take patience and not using force.

I was advised many years ago that it is unfair to give a 'dirty' cat to someone else. Possibly he didn't want to do that. However, there is no excuse whatsoever for torturing the poor cat.

Don't agree with abusing any animal, but I hate cats....

And what they do about all those dogs running free? You see them exhausted, bad skin, hungry, broken legs

Yes agree. he should never have animals, other than to eat.

But always felt cats were best suited,  stuffed up under the nearside 

wheel arch.
