Yesterday I rode back home to Pattaya to finish my Rainy Season Tour. I was stopped two times by the police, first time not far out of Kanchanaburi there was a full checkpoint at a junction, but they stopped me because a bag had come lose and was dangling off the side of the motorbike. The second was in Bkk, when I accidently rode up a ramp to the motorway. I was flagged down by a motorbike policeman and followed him back to his post to have a chat about the economy and how much would I like to donate. My offer of 100 baht, was not taken too well, with a reply of 4,000! Eventually 1,000 was agreed and he asked me to put the note in the donation box, which happened to be an upturned crash helmet! He then guided me back down the ramp and I was on my way! My trip was 2,553km and 27 days, an easy time with as much time for exploring and photography as riding. https://www.relive.com/view/vdvm7dDPKN6
