Today I started a rainy season tour on my CT142. A nice ride from Pattaya to Kanchanaburi and only light showers around.

My first stop was Pak Phraek Station in Kanchanaburi, where some kids we practicing their swearing with me.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/Nr6ywvhqDaDHStdC6

I then rode a few km to Kanchanaburi Station, here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/hw19UJtXttf9NR2t5

I took a few photos before checking in at the Smiley Frog Hotel.

Sunrise today was virtualy full cloud cover when I rode to a local rice field that I have taken photos of before.

One of the farmers told me the train that passes on its way into town can be photographed at the back of the field.

This is where the field is, you can clearly see the railway line if interested in photographing trains.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/jRsTxsQzixJyY1EF7

I spent a few hours there and missed the rain showers that were around.

This morning I rode to The Nine Army Battle Historic Park, here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/Dc4Bzn1sZBpYThgf8

I did not stop but rode up to the top of the hill that looks over the valley, here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/U6zUpEeWjP3M6Gsp7

From here I was ride to a less know part of the Thai-Burma Railway ruins when I spotted some Buddha images, so I stopped to take a look here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/2PumTAJa8hdpytxM9

This place is still under construction and not on Google maps.

It started to rain when I was there and the nearby mountains half hidden by incoming rain. So I returned to Kanchanaburi.

Today I rode back to the Buddha place from yesterday to carry on exploring.

My first stop was at a train station nearby, Ban Pu Pong, here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/uFA9P1gQoaET8f9t8

Looking at maps, it appears that it stops a few km west of the station. But it must start again somewhere.

Next, just across the road was Tirumalabalaji Buddhist Place, that is actually on Google maps, here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/MfVwcynTshLJYZYv7

From here I rode to some old tracks in the jungle from the Thai-Burmese Death Railway, here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/k6sqPhGRDf86QHRh6

The way up is to the right of the purple temple. I actually rode past to find a place to park out of the rain and found myself parked in the temples candle making shop. From here I climbed the embankment which was very slippery to the railway line.

In the dry season it would be interesting to explore more.

From here I rode back in the ran to the city.

This morning I went looking for places to take photos of Khao Nang Mountain and the smaller mountain just north of it. Here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/61WRzWM8RB1J2mPN7

The view would be better when the rice fields are full of rice.

Further away I found a place that had been planted and was better to view. Here.

Exploring the local tracks, I found another place, here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/NV5yQK5xZUkvhPtq5

I then rode to the beach here and took a few photos.

Just a two stops, first at Three Palm Trees, a usual stop for me.

My second stop was not planned, but riding over an overpass I spotted Bo Nok Railway Station, so decide to take a few photos.

Today was another early start and I rode just up the road to Ao Ma Nao Bay in Wing 5 Airbase, here.

I then rode south to Wang Duan Railway Station, here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/3qUi4nE9u9fufrdR7

I noticed they actually have staff housing there, so probably most stations.

Riding back, I stopped off at Khlong Wan Pier, here.

Yesterday there was light rain on and off all day at Prachaup and I decided to stay in my room.

This morning I left for the short ride to Ban Krut. I was hoping to catch some more sunrise photos at Ao Ma Nao, but arriving there before 6am there was full cloud cover.

I then rode onto the Blue Mosque where the clouds had disappeared.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/SdvHNhpXwu3kfGh58

From here I rode to Tang Sai Beach, just before Ban Krut, here.

I understand you have to pay, but i rode past the park, i did not enter.

Ok 👍 it's good you could ride past without paying, late one night before GPS while driving from Phayo to Chaingmai I strayed into a national park, the guards wanted to charge the fee but my lovely long haired dictionary sweet talked them into letting us pass through...🫡

The park entrance is actually just off road 4. I have tried to find trails in, not found yet :)
