  • That  bloody rain and Ferraris, thank goodness the driver wasnt responsible. Youd  think the guys at Ferrari would put some really good  brakes and some anti skid system in those  cars wouldnt yo

  • I heard the Safety Car was out for 20 laps after that. And, Somchai still made it to the podium to keep his championship hopes alive.

  • I bet the Ferrari driver was speeding; I bet his passenger was a girl; I bet they had had a liquid lunch.

How do the insurance companies deal with these lame excuses for not understanding road snd environmental conditiond. High powered machines require finesse not for the lead footed. !

I find it very hard to feel even remotely sorry for people in ridiculous expensive cars, who have accidents and/or do other stupid things. My thoughts go always out to their victims!!!

That’s the trouble with Ferrari’s. They spend all the money on the engine and then put in crappy brakes. The driver probably didn’t know that.

You don't get brakes with a new Ferrari? Or the driver doesn't know how to use them?

brakes are optional equipment.

looks like there wont be any thai formula 1 champions in the near future

Fast cars have always been a rich man's folly.  Ever since Mr Toad.

Many thanks! That was 5 minutes of great entertainment. There's something satisfying about idiots with too much cash wrecking their expensive toys.

The pedestrian at 3:42 was very quick-footed and lucky.

Should have changed to the wets on his way past B Quick.

Insane who spends that type of money on a car and don’t have a clue about safety. You can drive fast and safe weather permitting...

Obviously more car than brains !

This is an excellent reason not to drive a Ferrari or any other super car in Thailand. There is a temptation to go fast, and that is a very dangerous thing to do here. Regardless of your skill level. There are alot of drivers here who are not in possession of impressive driving skills, nor are they paying attention sufficiently, nor are they planning and calculating correctly, or showing respect to other drivers, when making a move in traffic. So, better to drive with great caution, something the Ferrari driver does not appear to have been doing.

Yes! Would be a red one; wouldn't it!

All the red Ferraries are dodgy in the rain.

Especially at 200 km an hour

I hear that they are in high demand as drivers for the next "Death Race" movie though!

Since arriving, manny things have amazed me. Nothing more so than how a car accident can can cause so any people to be preoccupied by it. If I ever get that interested in something so mundane, it will be time for me to leave.

Bye bye

I can relate to the Ferrari driver, the front drum brake on my Supercub sucks too.

Little Turtle Wax and elbow grease and that red wop-job will be as good as new.

Obviously another experience Thai driver, took the 10 minute driving test that never takes you near a active road.

Thai drivers first reaction to an impending collision is to swerve.  I guess they do not brake because that would wear out the brake pads - a bit like Thai motorcyclists who disable their rear lights to save on fuel  ?

It does not really matter which car you have if you drive outside the limits. Stupid driving causes accident4s - if it rains slow down!!!

There is a 26 year old Brit guy in Dubai who rented a Lambo Huracan and run up 172,000 AED (About 1,5 Million B) in speeding tickets in 3 days. The rental was about 27,000 B per day. What a clown. The funny thing is that the rental company still has his passport. That takes some doing. Get out of that one mate. I think some jail time is coming.

The problem with so many of these drivers is that their limit comes into effect at 10kph.  ?

This is normal all over the world.People with lots of money to buy a hot car, but very little brain power to handle a hot car  finds out the hard way just how stupid they rely are when it comes to driving.

If it is a Thai Ferrari driver's manual:

#1: Don't text and drive.

Ferrari could also give a free drivingcourse to all carowners...stories like this give the brand a bad name..And no doubt this was to blame to the driver, who sais he was thai anyway?

I thought that Ferrari & other High Performance car dealerships did offer instruction to customs on how to handle their vehicles. Perhaps not in Thailand as they might incur a liability if driver error causes an accident.

The Ferrari was unable to brake in time, said the report.

AKA as travelling too fast for the conditions.

AKA Thai Bivalve Brain Syndrome.

PRANCING HORSE GOT OUT OF CONTROL.... NOT DRIVER’s FAULT !

Maybe the Big Black Stallion, thought the Truck was a Filly  and just wanted to do what  comes “naturally.”

You can't loose speed, it'd be losing face, better to ram on full speed, the peasant should yield.
