How early can I apply for retirement extension in Jomtien

Featured Replies

My retirement Extension expires on 3 October. How soon can I apply for renewal?

Edited by radnyc

Within the last 45 days, but only 30 at some offices.

A couple of years back I did a retirement extension renewal 40 days ahead of the expiry date. No comment made by the Jomtien IO when I handed over the paperwork and the process was, as usual, very smooth.

Definitely 30 days early will be accepted (and recommended).

45 days, maybe yes, maybe no. I like the idea of just showing up and not even asking.

60 days, probably no, but you could ask if you have a credible reason such as ticketed travel plans.

Not unless you can support it with some reason for early renewal, for example a flight booking out of Thailand.

Just did my Retirement extension at Jomtien Chon Buri Immigration on the 11/12/1018 and it was due on the 11/01/2019. Went through with out a worry.

Mixed reports at Jomtien. Their policy seems to be 30 days, but they’ll do it early if not busy, or you’ve a good reason.
