webfact
Police bust drugs-party, seek source of the narcotics By Jessada Chantharak The Nation Bangkok police have called on the Office of the Narcotics Control Board to help find the source of the narcotics that the 28 suspects allegedly used at a party on Saturday, Wang Thong Lang deputy superintendent Pol Lt-Colonel Chaowarit Ngernchalard said on Sunday. The suspects are in police custody for further interrogation and will be escorted to Criminal Court on Monday so police can apply for their first 12-day detention period, Chaowarit said. The 17 men and 11 women were rounded up at around 5.30pm on Saturday by a 30-strong police team. The suspects were found in a rented house with 177 ecstasy pills, 289 pills of a club drug known as Erimin 5 or Happy 5, about 250 grams of marijuana, 11.19 grams of ketamine powder and 13 bags of crystallised ketamine. A 30-year-old man, identified only as Teerapong, confessed that the house had been rented in his name and he often hosted drugs parties there. Police were acting on neighbours’ complaints about noise and cars being parked outside their homes every weekend, deputy commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau Pol Maj-General Surachate Hakpan, who led the raid, said. The house was rented for Bt25,000 per month since March. Khun Paul
So often we hear of major drug busts, but never a Public announcement of drugs being destroyed, nor do we ever here of the outcome opf any court cases. is this because the RTPO never finalise the investigation, or the news rep[orters are not interested in the oputcomes, or MORE LIKELY the RTP never tell anyone what is going on. So ion that case maybe drugs found at many of these parties are recycled from Police evidence lockers, not unheard of in other countries, why should here be any different . Lets us face it , we will never be told of the outcome of the investigation in any event. !!!

geriatrickid
I wish they wouldn't call these products "drugs". They are chemical concoctions, filled with impurities and undisclosed chemicals and heavy metals. As much as I don't like the BiB, their intervention here has most likely saved a life or two. These idiots at the party might as well eat lead paint chips followed by a chaser of arsenic.

How the hell did they think they’d get away with that there. Looks like a normal residential soi. Surprised they got away with it once never mind for months
Colabamumbai
The source? Start with the police then go to the army. Complicent with the heroin business in the 70's and the yaba, ice and pot business today.

But now they can enjoy being banged up for years, and have their futures ruined, just for choosing to be young and silly. The war on drugs is ridiculous. Most of these chemicals are minimally harmful IF supplied by a pharmacy, and used recreationally in a responsible way (just like booze) for a year or two, as young adults do. Pathetic this is still going on, and the stunning ignorance of the public support it. British doctors have officially called for legalization of everything. And they should know.

There are thousands if remote structures they could have set up in.
Stargeezr
Go check with your local family doctor and see if hey think all drugs should be legalized, you may be surprised by their answer. Yes there are a few who will say maybe, but the vast majority of Doctors I have spoken to over the years say , NO Way! I do know many drug users, some who were my friends that have died of bad illegal drugs or have overdosed and aso died. Fact is drugs or mixed chemicals kill people everyday. Not everyone can afford the Pharmacy drugs.
