King Norodom Sihamoni on Friday appointed Hun Sen as prime minister with the duty of organising a government for approval by the National Assembly. On his re-appointment, Mr Hun Sen pledged to do his best to serve the whole nation for another five-year term after his Cambodian People’s Party won a sweeping victory in the general election.

He must form a cabinet for the sixth mandate to seek a vote of confidence from the National Assembly at its opening session on September 5.

The new government will be formed on September 6 and the first Council of Ministers will meet the next day. In a bid to develop the country under multi-party democracy, Mr Hun Sen has invited representatives of all parties that contested the election to join a consultation forum with the government tomorrow to hear their input before the new government is formed, CPP spokesman Sok Eysan said.

“It will be the first meeting for representatives of each political party to be given the chance to offer their ideas and contributions to the country’s development,” he said.

So now all that remains is Pol Pot and those of the Kymer Rouge executed , to be given a posthumous pardon and Hun Sen can return Cambodia to the level he so desired in the 1970's,  with of course himself and family benefiting.  A perfect role model for Thailand's PM.
