PATTAYA — A university student faces up to five years in prison for filming revelers grinding against each other in a simulated sex act at a pool party.

Thachakrit Wonglaemtong, 23, has been charged with violating the Computer Crime Act after he attended Saturday night’s Kolour Beachside Pattaya, where he filmed men and women in bathing suits simulating sex in a hotel swimming pool.

Using one of these might not have resulted in the Computer Crime Act charge .. And this mod-ell is quite zone specific ..

Get your head round that and tell me there is a sensible judicial system in this place.

Just another very good example of how completely out of control this government is. They have no idea what they are doing. Such utter incompetence. Five years in jail for filming a fake hump. Wow. What can one say? A computer crimes act? If that is a computer crime act, what is the making of a pornographic film? Are they going after the policemen, and officials who own porn film companies, or brothels, go-go bars, or full service massage shops? How about the officials involved in trafficking? Drugs?

This is just a great example of how misguided current policy is. Nothing is being accomplished by these hysterical, completely misguided, phony, insincere, dimwitted numskulls.

The goons in charge are focusing their efforts in all the wrong areas. They are trying to make Thailand a Quaker State. A land of purity. Total BS. Nonsense. Misplaced priorities, and wasted efforts. They should be focusing their efforts on traffic and public safety, easing import tariffs, making visa policy simpler, and more friendly, boosting Western tourism, real crackdowns on slavery, and illegal fishing instead of nonsensical hyperbole, cleaning up the water, the air, the rivers, and the beaches, and other things that actually improve lives.

Little P. Not making Thailand great again. And moving the nation backwards at an astonishing and alarming pace, though deeply ignorant policy, a complete and stunning lack of vision, and utter incompetence.

well... so much for watching Dirty Dancing tonite

Ridiculous !!!!!

So its 500 baht and a wai, for punching people in the face, or waving machetes or baseball bats around.

5 Years for picking the wrong mushrooms, nothing for running people over in Ferrari's, but 5 years again for filming someone having simple fun.

Probably would have been 20 if someone had actually shown any nudity.

Makes me laugh that the copper is stood there proud as punch of himself, not realising everyone else thinks he is an utter idiot.

Maybe not the computer crime act, but probably the drugs act with that Brownie.

Another victimless crime !!!

Hang him high and throw away the key...  or so...

Another proof they don't get their priorities right?

shame, shame, shame for this "law"

I'm sure it depends on which is seen as more obscene by Thai morals.

Nothing to do with bump and grind, the charges are for violating the Computer Crime Act and 5 years is not the mandatory penalty, 5 years is the maximum.

Edit: what's so confusing, Justgrazing?

He hasn't been given 5 years, that is just the maximum sentence.  The charge isn't for filming the action it's for putting it online and contravening the Computer Crime Act.

Is four years the maximum sentence for child abuse?

"Are they going after the policemen, and officials who own porn film companies..."

Which police officers and officials are they, then?

No one has been given 5 years and no one has been charged for filming a fake hump.

There wasn't a "moment"...natch...just wondering what you couldn't understand about the actual charges and the maximum penalty.

It is well known, that hundreds if not thousands of police officers, and officials, are involved in the sex industry here. They own massage shops, countless bars (with bargirls), some of the soapies, and some of the go-go's. Which ones are they? You are welcome to name them, if you dare. That is not important. What is important is that many of the same creeps who are crying foul over a stunt, are the ones making millions on the sex trade.

I asked you about the illegal porn film companies that you specifically stated are owned by police and officials, not legal massage businesses, legal bars, legal soapies or legal go-gos.  That is important when you are throwing bizarre accusations around.

Yea these things tend to happen when anything that's a bit compromising turns up but you never know anything juicy might have already found its way into the P*rn sites .. I'm checking as we speak .. ?
