90 day reporting ed visa confusion

Featured Replies

I came to the country on a tourist visa (2 months and extended for a 3rd) I then switched to an ed visa which I did in Bangkok without leaving the country as I study at a university. I have had no date given to me about 90 day reporting but I am concerned this is something I should have done? My first three months of my ed visa expire in a few weeks so I will do my first extension of this soon.

Yes, you should do 90 day reporting every 90 days.

You first 90 day report will be due 90 days from the date you apply for the extension of the 90 day entry from the visa.

Thanks-so will I be given a date for this in the future or do I just presume it to be within 90 days after my first extension?

Some immigration offices will put a slip your passport with the date your first report is due when you apply for the extension. If not you will have to count the 90 days yourself.

When you do your first report and all of them after it you will given a receipt for the report with the next report date on it.
