Thai woman orders a 37K brand name bag online - gets a plastic bottle instead

INN reported that a 25 year old Khon Kaen woman went to police to say that she had ordered a 37,000 baht second hand brand name bag online.

But when she opened the package she got a plastic bottle with Kung Fu Panda on it.

Panhathai Lertsin-udom had ordered the bag through "brandname_Oa" and said she transferred the money to the account of Ratanawalee Somneuk.

But after this she noticed several suspicious things like the Line name being constantly changed.

But when delivery firm Kerry told her that she had a package she was temporarily relieved.

Until she opened the package to find the plastic bottle.

Police are investigating.

Not only big companies like Lazada involved with c.o.d., my wife has had items delivered by Kerry from private individuals.

Well you can't fix stupid I guess

The online shopping thing just does not seem to make sense for the locals .

Either buyer missing a few brain cells or sellers with no comprehension of how to sell on line.

Kerry doesn't offer anything to the customer. The seller can choose to use of COD through Kerry, and will have to pay Kerry for it.

A scammer obviously not gonna offer COD

I would want my picture pixelated if I was that stupid.the seller is blatantly taking the pee sending a plastic bottle as an insult too.som nong nah madam..I suggest you spend your money on the school of life and not some handbag to swing around in your pals faces and make them jealous.sorry but I must lmao on this one.

I somehow feel little to no empathy for a woman who - instead of directly buying a considerably cheaper yet very nice, well-made, and stylish no-name brand leather bag from a local shop - feel compelled to mindlessly squander the princely amount of well over one thousand US$ on some "bragworthy" second-hand brand bag from an obscure LINE page.

This has been going on in some form or another for eons, I remember back when Noah played full back for Jerusalem an advert, enlarge your breasts, so whoever applied, got a plastic hand

Saw this yesterday. There was a video of her opening the package.

Who videos themselves opening a postal delivery? Seems very odd.

Lots of videos on Youtube of people "unboxing" products.

Seller has a wicked sense of humor.

Bragworthy is the operative word. Anything to get that facebook post and gain instant face for 10secs, after which the bag can be discarded, never mind the credit they took to get their fix.

sent her useless panda bottles  though she had nice jugs already

How does a 25yr old Khon Kaen girl get that kind of money? Not the normal 7 Eleven job unless it is only 7-11.

"I would want my picture pixelated if I was that stupid"    Sounds like you're looking at a non-pixelated image to me.    Why would  you think I'm related to the lady?    Strange to me.

Oh good, she can do a selfie with the receipt. Everybody like.

the greedy Thais at it again thinking they can get a brand name cheaper than it should be, a bit like the cheap gold being sold this week :cheesy:

Sponsors ?

In the States there was a women who would place items like this on eBay and say:

"You are buying: " and then the photos of the item.

She would take your money, then send you the photos.

She even went to court arguing it was not fraud.

Kung <deleted> Panda is cool

I'd say it's up to the individual how they spend their money. Do I think it's vain and stupid to spend so much on a bag? Of course, but up to her.
