A patrol of the Pattaya tourist police arrested a Yala man on Sunday with fake guide ID.

Ahmed Ra-O, 32, was leading a group tour of Indonesian tourists at the popular Sattahip tourist attraction also known as Khao Chi Chan.

Tourist police chief Lt Col Piyapong Ensarn said the suspect was approached and found to be in possession of fake ID and was not a registered guide.

He admitted the crime telling Pattaya Online News that he had got a friend to arrange the ID before getting a job at a tour agency.

He had been working as a guide for four years until his arrest on Sunday evening.

After 4 years surely he's passed his apprenticeship. Give him a proper ID and a wage rise.

Hopefully they will now crack down on teachers with fake degrees...

He was probably good at the job too. Sounds like the usual bureaucratic bs of ticking boxes to get a permit, but with out any real world knowledge or skills to do the job.

He is Indonesian, so stealing jobs from Thais. They need to find a Thai who speaks Indonesian then, do they exist ?

From what I understood, he was a Thai from Yale, although there may well be a Yala in Indonesia, it

doesn't take much to confuse me!

This is news? Get on the Chinamen.
