The past threads I can see on this (now archived) indicate that you need to be living in SL in order to obtain an SETV from there. Does anyone have any recent experience and can confirm / deny?

There is no specific statement on their website that only citizens and residents can apply for visa their.

But the requirements on this checklist for a tourist visa applicaion makes me think they do require it. http://www.thaiembassy.org/colombo/contents/files/services-20170127-110512-909343.pdf

    Was advised over the phone that only those with an SL resident's card can apply for an SETV in Colombo.

    Just a little bump on this.... does anyone have any experience of flying into Thailand from SL with a VISA exempt, and if so did they have any bother.....?
