Thai Tourist Visa From Penang

I have a friend from UAE, with double entry tourist visa (each of the visa 60 days +30 days extension, that's total of 180 days stay, however he didn't used his first extension) from thai emmbassy in Dubai. Now, he wants to go to penang or any bordering country to get another tourist visa? and how long he can stay if gets one?

Has he used both entries or just one? If only one and the visa is still valid he can just cross a border and return to get another 60 day stay and can extend 30 days. If he obtains a new tourist visa it will allow a new 60 day stay and he can obtain a 30 day extension.

All I can say is that so far we have not heard of any refusals for single entry tourist visas out of Penang and hope we never will.

Do you mean you can get single tourist visa as many times you want every time you apply from penang?

I just checked with him, he has stayed for 60Days for first visa, and another 60Days + 30days for his second visa

I'M in Penang now, arrived Sunday gave my passport to hotel, cost 120 riggit.Told it will be ready Tuesday

after 2:pm, every where you go here bars hotels, all doing visa runs, same price.I was told Penang prices

are lower than Thailand (BS) Tiger beer cost 60 baht in bar, and 60 baht in minimart,very hot now! can't

wait to get back to Chiang Mai.

Better go yourself directly,cause it is stated, agents ,are not allowed to do so,practically it does happen.But to be sure I would not do this service,cause I heard some bad stories about agents.Go yourself and there will be not any problem for sure!!!!

Malaysia beer prices are high.

MYR6 (60 baht) is for a small bottle.

Expect 120 baht for the large bottle.
