HOW do I copy, paste and CHANGE the name/description of the link/address ?

Normally I copy a link: click right with the mouse, copy and paste it into a message.

Like this:

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?

But HOW do I change the name/description of that link ?

I tried, but failed....
