PHUKET:-- It has been confirmed today that preparations to raise the ’Phoenix’ are now in the final stages.

 

The announcement came from the Director of the Phuket Public Relations Department, Busaba Jaipium, this afternoon (Sept 21).

 

“Due to good weather conditions the salvage team were able to go out to the site of the sunken Phoenix at 7:30am yesterday (Sept 20) with compressed air to fill the tanks and balloons, some of the tanks have been damaged by strong winds.

Afaik, no.

 

Nothing is final in Thailand, until they finally say it's final, and even then, some money can delay such finality, or, even reverse such finality.  Thus, creating the famous "finally final finality Thai loop."  ????

 

 

Come on guys this is becoming very very very old news... it just keeps going on and on and on.......... JC will be back before the Phoenix is lifted!!

It's sarcasm, as in the past attempts at raising the boat

they used 45 gallon drums,instead of airbags.and from

the photo looks like they have opted for more drums.
