A GOOGLE Maps image that appears to show a plane in Cambodia could be the remains of a US bomber used in the Vietnam war, it has been shockingly claimed.

The Google Maps snap has sparked a new search for missing Flight MH370 after truth-seekers said they are convinced it shows a plane in a high-altitude jungle.

Last week the first helicopter search of the area northwest of Phnom Penh was completed by aviation experts desperate to get their hands on the £53million finder's fee. And Brit investigator Ian Wilson is now hoping to conduct a search of the jungle on foot, convinced the picture shows the missing Malaysia Airlines jet.

Not true, I served with F-105 fighter bombers in southeast Asia during the Vietnam war, never did their flight paths ever go close to Cambodia.  However, B-52's may have been close to Cambodia on some occasions.   Also, the report shows the crashed aircraft to have a length of about 70 meters, the F-105 had an over all length of less than 20 meters, not even close.  Even the largest bomber used in the war, a B-52 was no where near 70 meters long.  The found crash site may or may not be he MH370, which was nearly 70 meters long, but for sure it is not a US bomber.

Why are people still believing this <deleted>? The site is 3 km from a local village. You really think nobody would have heard the plane come down, and nobody would have ventured 3 km into the jungle to check it out?

Satellites take imagery from above the level planes fly. When a plane flies under the satellite, then the satellite image captures a picture of a plane from above. The plane is flying, it is not on the ground.
