New Britishpassport- transfer of extension to stay

Featured Replies

Can this be done in any immigration office or does this need to be done in my “home” immigration office.

Some points -

I have a WP and am registered in BKK at the company’s Hq.

Never done a 90day report as I travel most weeks outside of Thailand.

I live in the Pattaya area. I have a rental agreement for the house I rent in my name.

Thanks for any help

Mike

You have to do the stamp transfer at the office where your extension was issued unless you formally change your address to a new office.

It appears it will not be possible to change your address since your work permit and etc were issued in Bangkok.

Joe,

Thanks - The extension of stay was done at the one stop shop in BKK. So I will kill two birds with one stone and go there.

Does anyone have any experience in getting this transfer done there - easy / difficult. ?

I would guess it will be easy there.

Be sure you have the letter from the UK embassy requesting the stamp transfer. They should give you a blank one when you pickup your passport.
