Manager reported that the British man and his Thai wife who were murdered in Phrae would be cremated together at the temple of Wat Phrae Thammaram in Den Chai district.

Relatives decided against the expense and trouble of repatriating the body of Mr Alan Scott Hogg to the UK, said Manager.

Temple staff and the relatives have forbidden pictures and entry into the cremation.

Mr Hogg, 64, originally from Scotland was shot and his wife Nott Suddaen, 61, was reportedly bludgeoned to death. They were buried deep by a creek on their large property in the Chorhae area of the northern Thai province.

A court visit scheduled for 11am yesterday to continue the detention of three suspects was put back to the afternoon after police called for a delay for more evidence gathering.

Manager said that all three suspects are giving different versions of what happened with denials that the wife was bludgeoned to death.

The case has been reported worldwide and is reported to have been the result of a family feud between the victims and the wife's elder brother who is one of the suspects in custody.

Reports suggest that he paid two others 50,000 baht but took part in the murders himself.
