October 1, 20187 yr hi all, Is is better to transfer these things before passing, or is it better to wait for the will to take place. Court probate etc. what ever is in place in this country. Just worried if there is big tax break one way or another. Yes i am farong and all in thailand goes to the thai gf. thanks
October 1, 20187 yr For your sake maybe it's best to let the courts decide. I do understand though and I like the way your thinking.
October 2, 20187 yr I have a will but if i knew i was going to die soon i would pass my condo/car to the tgf before. Saves her a lot of aggro.

October 2, 20187 yr Author I have had a will in place for many yrs now. the question is about taxes and whatever monies the various govt agencies are going to take. for example: just transferring condo to gf name land office tax will probably be some where around 5%. ( condo9-10MB) If it goes through probate or court (whatever it is callled here) does that tax still come into efffect? or on the other hand does she have to pay court X% and then again to land office same 5%. meaning paying twice? somebody here have to know someone who has died and left condo car etc to gf/wife????????????? thanks
