Have to agree. I am also from the UK and sorry to say, my country no longer represents me. I am realistic about my status in Thailand and although try to adapt as much as possible, do realise that I`l

Good for you if you can afford a castle, but to diminish people who can't afford better says something about your class.

I'm not judging you. I'm simply stating facts and challenging your statement.

How do you make it look nice?

Rubbish.

I live in a fabu apartment for 4500 baht. Clean, comfortable, safe, nice neighbors and great neighborhood.

I'd tell you where but we are a discerning bunch... ????

Just moved to a new building now, and pay 4000,- a month. Great location 5 min walk to everything, and best of all, quiet!

downside 8 baht pr unit electric, but only 100 baht pr month water flat rate. Travelling to much now, so no use of a bigger flat. I can live here in Thailand with all cost for two persons less than 20 000,- baht, and still go out twice a week for dinner.

You can live good and easy if you want!

For me, clean and tidy is nice, to answer your question.

I have nothing personal against you of course, but there are many decent people living in condos, and it's not fair to call them pigs or other words.

I have been to lots of provinces in thailand, and the ones at 4,000 b a month are pig  styles .

Clearly our definitions of a ‘pig style ‘differs.
. I know of nice new build small detached bungalows with AC/electric shower in a central city location for the figure you mention. You must certainly know some ‘HiSo’ pigs!!!

You misquoted me. I didn't call any poster a pig.
But let's be real , how can you make a 4k room " look nice" ?
Fresh flowers are good but what else?

Play the ball and not the man please

BS. I pay 5,000 a month for a 3 bedroom 2 bath townhouse and it's huge. Far from a pig sty.

If I wanted cheaper I could still get a smaller townhouse for 4k and it would still be decent.

I have a Thai buddy paying 1800 baht a month and his place is decent but no kitchen.

Good on you .

like to know we’re ?.

thai buddy paying 1,800 baht a month, and the place is decent , then what you think is decent, dose not mean I think it’s decent, dose it .

5,000b is not 4,000b is it .

I have seen the 4,000b a month places , not for me , can be for someone on lower income.

but not me .

All I am saying that the ones I seen are  terrible .

but i would not go to live in thailand on a small  budget .

Looks like the ones I upset live on small income .

I can’t believe that some of you out there would try and live cheap in thailand, show lots most be living on a very small  budget .

Where in the above does it say that I am living in those locations?Clearly you have a very ‘interesting’ perspective on life and others ‘worth’. Bet your fun to have at a party!!
I hope you enjoy your life.

My Previous place was 3500 baht, 2 bedroom 2 bath townhouse. Not a pig sty. My buddy's place is one large living/bedroom and bathroom and a small eating area. He has a courtyard outside. It's not what I'd want (no kitchen) but it's not a pig sty. I said Chaing Rai. What you consider "decent" needs to be defined.

You seem to choose to look down on people without your financial backing, awfully judgmental.

thais live for that money a month and I have seen them first hand and there are a joke of a place.

I paid 4,000 a month for a studio apt in Navanakorn for 14 months till I decided if Thailand was for me.
A corner top floor unit was great, had a larger balcony and a window, plus fewer neighbours !
The non corner units can be claustrophobic.

But it’s how you live your life that matters, me and my gf lived there happily, bought a house and moved on but if I was still there I would have no complaints at all.

Then you have plenty of time to do your research.

I like Bkk, but i could not stay there more than 1 week at a time, too noisy and busy.

..But then, some folks don't like village life either.
