Thai Sydney Consulate Tourist Visa Report

Featured Replies

Hi,

Went to lodge my Mrs and My Tourist Visa application off this morning.

They open the lift at 09:00am but the windows don't open until 09:30am.

I was number two inline.

You take a number to the right of Window

First Guy did not have a copy of his Passport so lady went out make

a copy.

Next he was asked if he had a letter.

I stay with a friend I not need.  Lady said you need a letter inviting you to stay

with them.   Guy says there in Thailand.....

Yes you call them and ask for a letter.  With that he packed up and left

to chase up the above.

I was up next had a ATM receipt from Bank from a withdraw before going to Consulate

to show proof of funds I had $11,000 in there.

Not needed she took My Annual Super Statement said that was better.

* Copy of Housebook

* Copy of Mr ID Card front only needed

* Copy of Passports

* Air Tickets in and Out have single in and out to Cambodia 59 days later.

* Tourist Visa Application for Mrs and Myself.

Would normally get back two days later but was told coming back Friday

Have to Mrs to sign form authorizing me to pick up her Passport and photocopy of ID

will use her NSW Drivers License .

Was done in about 20 mins

Excellent Service from the Lady at the Service Window.

With Luck will pick up Tourist Visa on Friday, wish me Luck

Attached Information Forms from Sydney Thai Consulate thought they might be of help.

Maybe he does not want to worry about needing a ticket out of the country within 30 days of arrival to board his flight.

Nice report about your experience ????

In the pic of the tourist visa it says "copy of airline ticket into and out of Thailand" but they never mention the dates. Does that mean you can have the "out" part being 9 months out? Eg.  Buy a return ticket from Sydney with the return date 9 months later?

Also,  they don't seem to mention that they want to see your latest bank statement in that pic you attached. Have they scrapped this?

HI bbi1,

I had bank statement but lady picked My Annual Super Statement also had a ATM receipt as back up.

So guessing can use either.

Air Ticket would depend on your visa , so date would work around that I'd think.

The Attached I grabbed as they had them on the wall thought they might help others with the latest from Sydney Consulate.

Hope that helps

I'm sorry but could you explain what you mean by this. She asked him if he had a letter? As in an apartment contract?

It would be a statement from his friend stating he was staying with them with some form of ID attached.

Which consulate? The requirements vary depending on where you apply.
