leddie
Hopefully the title is self-explanatory. Switching from retirement to non-inn B and work permit. Does the retirement visa have to be cancelled forst in Thailand before flying to HK? Company is saying they checked at HK Thai Consulate said it has to be cancelled in Thailand before going. ubonjoe
Immigration does not cancel visas issued by an embassy or consulate. I think you have an extension of stay issued by immigration not a valid visa. No Thai embassy or consulate has any concern about an extension of stay issued by immigration being canceled before issuing a visa. The concern you may have is entering the country with a valid re-entry permit and a valid non-b visa.

Do you have a valid, unexpired Non-imm O-A visa (sometimes referred to as a retirement visa) issued by an embassy or consulate or do you have an extension of stay based on retirement granted to you by an immigration office in Thailand and a multi re-entry permit also issued by an immigration office?
