More than 500 activists from 20 countries set off today aboard 17 buses and dozens of vehicles from Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, launching the humanitarian "Palestine Convoy" on a cross-continental journey of solidarity with the people of Gaza. Organised by the Sumud Anadolu movement alongside international partners, the convoy will travel through the Balkans, Turkey, Iraq, and Jordan before reaching the West Bank, forming part of the wider Global March to Gaza. The choice of Srebrenica as the starting point carries deep symbolic weight, a city that endured one of Europe's darkest chapters, now standing as a launchpad for global solidarity with Palestinians facing genocide.

The convoy represents one of the largest civilian mobilisations of its kind, uniting activists from multiple continents in a shared act of moral resistance. Rather than staying silent in the face of Gaza's siege, participants have chosen to move, physically, collectively, and visibly, carrying the world's attention with them. As the buses cross borders in the coming days, organisers say the convoy is intended to keep international attention on Gaza and demonstrate continued grassroots support for the Palestinian cause.

Israel was one of the few countries in the middle east who took in Bosnian muslim refugees. Israel and Jordan operated a joint relief program. Turkiye, before the hateful Erdogan,operated medical facilities with Israel to care for the Bosnian muslims. It is a positive testament that some of the original refugees taken in by Israel were granted permanent Israeli residency status.

Oh i would also like to state that I was stationed in Bosnia as technical comms support for both UN and UK armed forces and relief agencies in 1993 and 1994 for 4 x 2 month stints as a contractor and i witnessed the Serbs and Croats murdering Bosnian Muslims whilst the UN protectors stood by ,and did nothing ... i have seen the evil man can do and the corruption and lies at first hand in war zones, and in our civilian home streets all over the world during my working life and travels to 64 countries so far ... i have worked in 6 war zones and also in some very nasty places around the world but i have also seen evil and injustice done on the streets of LA . SF and several UK cities by out own so called government agencies ,,

The fact of the matter is that this Convoy/Expedition is nothing more than a anti-Israel/pro-Palestinian publicity exercise.

The flotilla's were the same, in my opinion, you have got to hand it to the pro-Palestinians all these efforts do show the neutrals of the World how bad the situation is in the Occupied Territories of Israel as well as the plight of the people of Gaza.

The Israeli position on the other hand, again , in my opinion, gets more difficult, as whatever they do, does nothing more than show the World that they will never acknowledge any wrong doing in this whole sorry saga.

At the end of the day, no matter how many atrocities committed by either side it is the voice of Public Opinion that hopefully shows the Leaders of the World that the majority have had enough of the killing and injuries suffered by both sides, and a peaceful solution needs to be found.
