webfact
Transport Minister gives policy address to transport planning office BANGKOK, 9th October 2018 (NNT) - The Transport Minister delivered a policy address to the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) this week, as the country moves forward with its national strategy of improving competitiveness through infrastructure development. Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith said the OTP must work proactively to support the country’s plan for transportation infrastructure development by creating five, 10, and 20-year plans that align with the government’s 20-year national strategy. It must also reduce agency redundancies, especially in the management of traffic in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area. Arkhom also called for a big data center to manage traffic flow and connect public transportation networks in the capital and its vicinity. Over the past few years, Thailand has continued to feature positively in competitiveness reports by international organizations, due to its progress in infrastructure development. -- nnt 2018-10-

ChrisY1
They need real help here over transport...ministers waffling on about issues they have no real knowledge is pointless. International assistance would likely open their minds and potentially have positives for Thailand' future. Eg: HS rail is pointless...a pipe dreams installed into minds from China, could lead to disastrous debt and systemic failure.

Since the PM's photo-op ten months ago - to build a 3.5km section as test track - there has been absolutely nothing in the press about its progress. Unless I blinked and missed it.
