Pattaya's finest were called to the city's famous sign on Tuesday after a 35 year old Surin woman threatened to jump.

She was wailing incoherently about missing her mum and kids up country, reported Sanook.

Station chief Pol Col Apichai Krobpetch hot-footed it to the scene on Pratumnak Hill but fortunately a member of the public had already talked Jaranya down.

Earlier tourists in the scenic area below had seen the woman climb up and it looked like she was going to end her life.

Police took over and managed to calm Jaranya down.

Sanook said she was drunk and stressed.

Or maybe a Foreigner stole all her money, sold the house she paid for and found out he was already married to his "sister"
