Bank transfer to the UK

Featured Replies

My Thai partner have a small amount of money (£1500) to transfer to the Uk.

Whats the most less expensive way to transfer.

I looked at tranfeewise but can't do. PayPal wants best part of £80.

Any feedback and advice would be much appreciated.

A SWIFT transfer from any Thai bank will do the trick easily, figure on getting the TT rate if using THB which will then be converted into GBP before the transfer - cost circa 500 baht.

That sounds pretty straight forward, I will drop in you my local Bangkok bank branch in the morning.

Your Thai partner will need to meet the requirements for an overseas funds transfer, a summary can be found here: https://www.bot.or.th/English/FinancialMarkets/ForeignExchangeRegulations/FXRegulation/Pages/default.aspx
