“I want the world to know the reason why Thais wholeheartedly greatly love His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej and why he has cemented his place in Thai hearts for ages.”

The reasons for the great love are given in two video clips for the late King produced by Thanachote Pimelapthanabrun, or Champ, a 14-year-old student at Assumption College Thonburi.

Champ said he named the first video, “The King in the Heart of the People,” saying he wanted people around the globe to know why Thai people love HM King Rama IX.

For the second video clip, “Sufficient Economy,” Thanachote said he wanted the world to learn about the concept of the King’s Sufficiency Economy Theory, which has helped Thai people to live a balanced life and to be able to sustain themselves.

“The King created this concept because he wanted his people to have good lives and because he cared for his people,” he said.

Both videos were made last year with Thanachote taking on the roles of producer and narrator. He created his own English subtitles for the viewers.
