I wonder why, when someone doesn't agree with who is prime minister, they repeat the trope, "Well I didn't vote for him"? Sounds like a Monty Python sketch. The UK has lasted hundreds of years deciding that the party head becomes PM. For the person that doesn't know it, there is a Constitution. The UK's constitution is partly written and uncodified, drawing from a mix of Acts of Parliament, historical charters (like the Magna Carta), judicial decisions, and traditional unwritten practices known as constitutional conventions. Some seen to think the USA is the only country with a Constitution. Instead of voting for ministers, the PM chooses them. There's no point in arguing that the PM should not follow this Constitutional rule. Choose to change it.
