HenryB Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 :D Ridiculous. This shows that Thailand is richer than America. I have called up and I shall be their tomorrow with my wife. Looking to meet other members tomorrow but I guess most on this board is Cheap Charlie.

Well done Mr Sanjog, it must have taken you a good half a minute to come up with such a great idea,
Payboy Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 does anyone really want to be seen at the amari atrium? it's only a cheap hangout for package tourists carrying 7 eleven bags.

You are worse than cheap. your an idiot.
basjke Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Instead of having the worlds biggest, most expensive, largest or most ridiculous of anything they should better focus on be the worlds most foreigner friendly country.
DirkGently Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Is there a discount for taking it home in a plastic bag on the bars of my bike? 540,000. Well really. In the minds of the elite, it is a way of bringing quality tourists to Thailand. Their deluded minds can sit back and watch as the ruby money goes to Holland (or some other gem stone controlling country). The Martini money goes to California and the fine crystal money goes to France (or wherever) and the staff get a small tip. Idiots. They wish to turn away backpackers that place money into the hands of small Thai hotels/taxis/tour guides etc, in favour of big money spent in foreign owned places. I would like to know how much of the recent 'mega meal' landed in the hands of the average Thai.
guardian Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Expensive, probably. Brainchild of Khun Sanjog ? Definitely not

wpcoe Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 The extravagant cocktail contains a 5.02 carat heart shaped Ruby, served in an award winning hand blown martini glass. OK, I'm clueless about gems and jewelry. What is the street value for a "5.02 carat heart shaped Ruby"?
Laulen Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Acting to a Thai stereotype ?? "Amazing Thailand" is not dead, yet!
Tony Clifton Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Tie Mr. Sanjog Modgil to a chair for 24 hours and drop him where they had a fire in Klong Toei for 24 hours, reality check.
Jet Gorgon Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Expensive, probably. Brainchild of Khun Sanjog ? Definitely not Nice research, G! My kind of town (Chicago is). Sing it, Frank!
leisurely Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I've been waiting for Mr Man to tell me we are off to the Amari tonight. It would appear to have been in vain, he is playing golf after work. Looks like I'm going to have to make do with my Chang as usual.......................
